Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, fired fresh shots at rapper Kanye West for his mention of Travis and Taylor Swift’s romance in his new album. On Friday, Ed shared a post on Facebook in which he clarified his previous comments on the rapper.

In his statement, Ed Kelce expressed that West’s mention of his son’s romance in a song is “paranoia” behavior, and made an additional comment about the rapper’s “drug use.” Sharing his fresh take on the controversy, Ed said:

“I feel the need to clarify that my comment on Kanye West was not so much a criticism as it was my thoughts on his mental health. His behaviors and comments beyond Taylor indicate a paranoia and over-inflated sense of self worth.”

“While it would be easy to attribute his actions to drug use, throughout history there’s been no shortage of clean and sober people displaying the same traits. This is a talented guy and hopefully he’s getting help with these issues,” he concluded.

Previously, Ed reshared an article on Facebook from Daily Mail about Kanye West’s reference to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship in his new album. In the caption, Ed took shots at the rapper when he said:

“Mental illness on full display.”

While Ed Kelce has familiarized fans with his views on the new song, Kanye West has yet to comment. Nevertheless, it’s notable that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship has benefited the Chiefs, and its owner recently credited Swift for her contribution.
