Along with Caitlin Clark, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese is considered by a lot of fans as one of the biggest snubs of the Team USA contingent that is currently competing in the Paris Olympics.
Reese, the No. 7 overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, has been on quite a tear in her rookie campaign, putting up averages of 13.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 31.7 minutes per game. The 22-year-old’s strong performances in the first half of the season earned her a spot on the coveted WNBA All-Star squad, which incidentally handed Team USA a 117-109 loss during the All-Star Weekend in July.
After missing out on the opportunity to represent her country in the grandest of stages, Reese has made it clear that she dreams of one day suiting up for the Red, White and Blue in the Summer Games.
On Friday, the Sky forward reposted a tweet that said, “Angel Reese a future Olympian! 😌👑.”
Angel did not comment on the tweet or anything, but there’s no denying that she fully intends to speak (or tweet) this lofty goal into existence.

Four years from now, the Games will be heading back to U.S. soil for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This would be the perfect opportunity for Reese to represent her country in the most prestigious international tournament of all.
For now, though, Reese joins the rest of the nation in supporting the national team’s quest for another gold medal. Team USA is currently 2-0 and will be looking to sweep all three of their games in the group stage when they battle Germany on Saturday.
At this point, the Americans are still the heavy favorites to bag the gold for a record eighth consecutive time.
