The expectation for Team USA has been to go through the 2024 Paris Olympics without a blemish and thing are going according to plan. Despite having to juggle a loaded lineup, Steve Kerr has managed it well and the squad has won its games by an average of 21.3 points. Now comes the knockout round, where perfection will need to be maintained if it wants to win its fifth-straight gold medal.

The semifinals will be on Thursday, Aug. 8 (11:30 a.m. or 3 p.m. ET) and the gold medal game is Sunday, Aug. 11 (3:30 p.m. ET).
Who is the head coach of USA men’s basketball?
Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Golden State Warriors, is the head coach of the 2024 USA Men’s National Team. His assistants are Mark Few (Gonzaga), Tyronn Lue (Los Angeles Clippers) and Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat). Kerr, along with Few, Lue and Spoelstra, previously led the U.S. men’s national team to a fourth-place finish at the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup in Manila.
