Caitlin Clark’s assist to Angel Reese in the WNBA All-Star Game was a PSA that the two WNBA rookies are just as comfortable working together as they are facing off as rivals. But it wasn’t until this new angle of the play that everyone realized just how perfect their chemistry is.

Clark and Reese connection on full display

It gives an uncut look into how Caitlin Clark used her incredible court vision to direct Reese into the exact spot she needed to be. All it took was one verbal cue from the Indiana Fever point guard, and then Angel’s unmatched hustle took over while Caitlin pulled defenders around the court like a chess master.

The most remarkable part is that Clark appears to see the entire play develop in her head before Sabrina Ionescu‘s shot even goes through the hoop on the other side of the court. While the ball is still hanging on the rim, Clark tells Reese to “go go go,” leaving Ionescu trailing the play while Clark works the extra woman advantage.

The Chicago Sky rookie’s intelligence is on display as well, as she taps her head to show Clark she is going to set a rub screen in transition to keep Ionescu from recovering. Clark draws help defense from Britney Griner, leaving Angel Reese wide open for the layup, just like she drew it up in her head nine seconds before.
