After teasing a vibrant documentary about Diddy, 50 Cent finally sold the distribution rights to Netflix.
The rapper has been commenting publicly on multiple sexual assault allegations against P. Diddy, often with scathing Instagram posts. Now, the star has officially found a home for his ongoing project, 50 Cent confirmed on Instagram.
It wasn’t an easy sale, either. Sources told TMZ that there was a massive bidding war. Apparently, multiple streaming platforms and television networks alike showed major interest in the timely story. The movie will be produced by 50 Cent’s company, G-Unit Film and Television Studios and the insiders indicate that it isn’t arriving too far off in the future.
In confirming TMZ’s report, Diddy also jabbed at the publication’s article, suggesting that they were jealous of the news. In reference to the photo the gossip cite chose to accompany the news, he wrote: “TMZ use this fat boy picture of me because their doc went to Tubi LOL. it’s ok guys we’re all making good television mines just happens to be the best! NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out. I’m gonna need more episodes.”
Luckily, they swapped out the photo for something more flattering. “Ok TMZ put up a 2024 picture baby, let’s work ! LOL,” 50 Cent wrote in response.
She further alleged that the musician “blackballed” her from the modeling industry after not making good on alleged promises to help her career. The lawsuit states the model cited Cassie Ventura’s story as motivation for her to speak up about her alleged experience.
Cassie was the first to come forward with allegations against Diddy last year ahead of the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act. She accused him of assaulting and raping her, but the pair settled the lawsuit out of court within a day and the rapper denied any wrongdoing. Video footage recently surfaced of Diddy reportedly physically assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway to which the rapper deemed his behaviour “inexcusable.”
