Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are facing significant speculation and scrutiny regarding their relationship, particularly after deciding to put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market just a year after purchasing it.

The Mansion Sale and Relationship Speculation

TMZ first reported that Affleck and Lopez were selling their $61 million mansion, sparking rumors of trouble in their relationship. However, sources close to the couple suggest that the sale may not be tied to their romantic status. According to PEOPLE Magazine, a source revealed that Affleck never felt comfortable in the house due to its distance from his children, indicating a practical concern rather than a relationship issue. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez reportedly finds the mansion too large for her liking, pointing to personal preferences that don’t necessarily reflect on their marriage.

On Monday, a source close to Lopez told People that despite “strain” in their marriage, the couple is “still friendly and see each other every few days.”

Neither Lopez nor Affleck have commented on the rumors. Lopez did release a statement after she canceled her This Is Me…Now Tour last month to take time off to spend time with her children, family, and close friends.

She said, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
