The View host officially boycotted after mercilessly mocking Donald Trump’s ear injury.
The View co-host Ana Navarro is facing fierce backlash for making fun of Donald Trump‘s ear injury following an assassination attempt last weekend.
Navarro, a top Trump critic, said on the show Friday that she wished the bandage that is covering Trump’s ear was placed instead over his mouth.
The mocking followed the former president’s hour-and-a-half remarks at the Republican National Convention on Thursday evening after he officially became the party’s nominee on Monday.
It was also his first speech since would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot Trump in the ear before he was neutralized by Secret Service at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last Saturday.
‘What we saw yesterday was a replay of Trump’s 90-minute constant rallies,’ Navarro said.
‘It’s too bad the bandage was just over his ear. It should have been over his mouth,’ she added to laughter from the studio audience.

The 52-year-old quipped in reference to Trump saying God was on his side after he survived the assassination attempt: ‘God should have pulled the plug on that mic yesterday.’
Online critics called for the show to be canceled in response to Navarro’s comments.
She also suggested on the Friday episode that Trump’s speech was more an indicator of mental instability than President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate and ensuing slips that have brought his fitness for office into question.
Navarro, a self-proclaimed never-Trumper Republican who votes for Democrats, claims that if Biden gave the same speech Trump delivered at the Convention, he would be ‘carted off to a paddy wagon’ by ‘men in white coats.’
During the same episode, Joy Behar described Trump as ‘very narcissistic’ after he claimed he survived his assassination attempt because God was ‘on his side.’
There is now a growing mob calling for the long-time co-host of The View to be sacked.
The former president, 78, acknowledged his Christian faith as he addressed the Republican Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin earlier this week.
Behar, 81, criticized Trump’s lengthy statement during Friday’s episode, branding his words ‘very unchristian’ and ‘disturbing.’
Before taking the ABC show to an ad break, she said: ‘What I want to point out, one thing. I’m speaking to fellow Christians, I was raised Catholic. I’m a Christian girl.
‘When something like this happens to you like this assassination attempt and you say something like ‘God was watching me,’ that is a very unchristian thing to say because it’s very narcissistic.’
Sitting alongside co-stars Navarro, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Fara Griffin, she continued: ‘What about Corey [Comperatore]? What’s his name? Comperatore, the fireman who also got [killed]?
”Oh, God was watching me and not watching them?’ There’s something very disturbing about that.’
Angry viewers called for Behar to be axed from The View after claiming she ‘attacked a whole religious base.’
‘If there ever was an example of someone NOT a Christian it would be Joy Behar so she should stop claiming she is… She should be fired. A hateful human being,’ wrote one.
Another posted: ‘Please shut up already. How is The View still on the air?!?’
A third said: ‘Joy clearly known nothing about being a Christian and should probably look into how God feels about people who speak on His behalf that don’t know him.

Behar and Navarro made their controversial comments during Friday’s episode of The View
‘She should start with understanding God wanted to kill Job’s friends due to their nonsense. We are actually witnessing God work.’
‘What an unnecessary thing to say!’ blasted a fourth. ‘Of course, any reasonable person would say, ‘G-d was with me’ if something like that happened to them.
‘And she couldn’t even memorize Corey’s last name before serving up this pre-canned comment. Ugly!’
A fifth joked: ‘Noted Christianity expert Joy Behar.’
A sixth blasted: ‘The View tell Joy Behar ‘GOD’ was watching over me when I almost died from an overdose , so if that a very unchristian thing for me to say, she needs to be immediately FIRED!!! She just attacked a whole religious base!’
It comes amid growing calls for MSNBC anchor Joy Reid to be taken off air after she shared inflammatory theories about Trump’s attempted assassination.
Reid, 55, angered critics on two occasions when she shared a video to X implying that he was not even shot.
After President Biden tested positive for Covid days later, Reid said on a broadcast that the democrat’s brush with the virus was as heroic as Trump’s reaction to narrowly avoiding a bullet.
