Super Bowl LVII – Kansas City Chiefs v Philadelphia Eagles
Patrick Mahomes was one of the stars of the Netflix docuseries “Quarterback,” which chronicled his experiences on and off the field throughout the 2022-23 season. But according to him, filming it was not always easy.
Speaking on “Riggle’s Picks,” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback called getting permission from Andy Reid the biggest challenge (starts at 32:58).
“They gave me a lot of freedom on who came to film me, what they filmed,” Mahomes said. “The hardest part was getting coach Reid to let them in the building and let them film some of that stuff that we do there. But he was he was great about it. He actually interviewed and did parts of it too. So it was cool to have him and seeing his perspective.”

Patrick Mahomes shares thoughts on Chiefs’ potential three-peat
No team in the Super Bowl era has ever been able to clinch three consecutive titles, but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have the chance to make history.
Besides the quarterback, the team still has ever-prolific tight end Travis Kelce, burgeoning running back Isiah Pacheco, and one of the strongest offensive lines in the league. New to that group are wideouts Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy and former rugby winger Louis Rees-Zammit.
The defense, meanwhile, may have lost linebacker Willie Gay and defensive backs L’Jarius Sneed and Mike Edwards; but Chris Jones still commands a fearsome front seven that also has George Karlaftis and Nick Bolton, while Trent McDuffie and Justin Reid assume similar roles in the backfield.
Speaking about the chances, Patrick Mahomes said (starts st 26:14):
“It’s awesome to see the energy. Even from last year to this time, you can just tell everybody is even hungrier… I think what Coach Reid and (general manager) Brett Veach do is they do a great job of bringing back players but also add in new guys. And when these new guys come in, they’re hungry.
“It’s going to be a heck of a ride, and I’m excited for it.”
Meanwhile, former offensive lineman Mark Schlereth said on “The Stinkin’ Truth” that the threepeat could still be possible despite a “fumbling” offense – the defense just has to continue delivering. Chiefs preseason camp begins on July 21.
