Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are ready to defend the Super Bowl title and become the first team in NFL history to three-peat as Super Bowl champions. All their key players are participating in this year’s training camp, unlike last year, where Chris Jones missed the entire camp.

Today, a video of a Chiefs’ trick play went viral. In that play, Mahomes and Kadarius Toney threw the ball to each other twice before the wide receiver launched the ball for Xavier Worthy, who was wide open.

This video made it clear that Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy are planning explosive trick plays, which were missing last year.

Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz saw the video and claimed that the Super Bowl champions ran that play intentionally as teams across the league have eyes on each other’s practices. He said:

“lol. They know ppl record practice so they throw this trick play out for everyone to see”. wrote Schwartz

The Chiefs have made their intentions clear, and with the help of these videos, they will strike fear in opponents.

Last year, the Chiefs’ offense struggled massively, and as Patrick Mahomes said, it wasn’t a ‘fun’ way to win the Super Bowl. Well, expect some ‘fun’ football from the Chiefs this upcoming season.

Patrick Mahomes could have a monster season with the help of new additions

The Kansas City Chiefs addressed their issues on the offense this offseason and added two speedsters at the wide receiver position in Xavier Worthy and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown.

These two have explosive speed and will open up the field for other playmakers like Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice and their star running back, Isiah Pacheco. Moreover, Patrick Mahomes will have opportunities to air out the ball and make big plays, which we saw during his first couple of seasons in the league.

After Tyreek Hill’s departure, the Chiefs didn’t have a real deep threat apart from Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who was inconsistent. Now with Worthy and Brown, the Chiefs can beat other teams in multiple ways.

Patrick Mahomes is the favorite to win the MVP award this year, and with the kind of players the franchise has put around him, expect the reigning Super Bowl MVP to have a monster season.
