Shocking Photo Chicago Sky Draw Special Courtside Guest In Victory Against Dream

The Chicago Sky snapped their two-game losing streak after securing an 85-77 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. During the game, South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley was spotted on the sideline and then met the Sky in the tunnel.

Staley is the former head coach of the No. 3 overall pick from the 2024 WNBA draft, Kamilla Cardoso of the Sky.

The basketball legend is reportedly a season ticket holder for the Dream, per Meghan Hall on X. She was also able to catch two of her former players from the Dream, Allisha Gray, and Laeticia Amihere.

Cardoso showed out in front of her former coach. She ended the game with a near double-double, posting eight points and 10 rebounds.

Staley shared a postgame exchange with Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon. The Sky were calling her attendance at the game a “family reunion.”

Gray finished the matchup with 19 points and four assists, while Amihere did not get any game action. The Dream’s next bout will be on Friday, July 5, against the Dallas Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Staley’s presence at the game is great for women’s basketball. A merge between the professional landscape and one of the most iconic names in collegiate basketball.

The Gamecocks head coach has won three National Titles in Columbia. Her attendance at the Sky-Dream game brought smiles all around, with Weatherspoon and Cardoso sharing some heartfelt interactions with the coach.
