Caitlin Clark was once again the center of attention in the Indiana Fever locker room on Saturday night, after recording the first ever rookie triple-double in WNBA history.
Her incredible performance on court against the Phoenix Mercury further strengthened her Rookie of the Year credentials, and her teammates were quick to heap praise (and water!) on her after the game.
In a brilliant moment captured on video, Clark is praised by her head coach, before being doused with water by her adoring colleagues.
‘First time for a rookie to get a triple-double in franchise history,’ Christie Sides can be heard saying, before pointing to Clark sat beside her.
That sparked jubilant scenes, with the team rushing over to her and emptying their water bottles over her head, much to Clark’s surprise.

She sits and takes the display of affection, before wringing out her jersey as she is given the game-ball.
Clark’s reaction then left the internet even more in love with her, as she praised the rest of the team, rather than taking all the credit herself.
‘Great job everybody,’ the 22-year-old can be heard saying.
Fans quickly took to social media to praise the ‘humble’ reaction, with one noting: ‘Doesn’t like to draw attention to herself in intimate moments or in the locker room.
‘She shows her true self on the court… what a team player and person… great job Caitlin Clark you are truly special.’
Another added: ‘Of course she gives a team shoutout bc she’s the most humble player in the wnba!!!!’
In the 83-78 victory over the New York Liberty, Clark dropped 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists.
The No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft was one rebound shy of a triple-double two games ago in an 88-82 road victory over the Phoenix Mercury.
Clark had 11 points in the first quarter, making 3 of 4 from 3-point range. She topped double figures in assists in the third quarter and passed the 10-rebound mark in the fourth.

Chicago’s Chennedy Carter (7) believes that Angel Reese should win Rookie of the Year though
Despite the performance, not everyone in the WNBA is in agreement about who should win Rookie of the Year – with Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky teammates firmly in the camp of the Bayou Barbie.
Chennedy Carter, who led the team with 33 points in Chicago’s recent win over Seattle, told the ION broadcast after the game that Reese deserves to be the front-runner to be recognized as the league’s best youngster – and not Clark.
‘Barbie’s Rookie of the Year. There’s no other way to put it, ‘ said Carter.
‘She goes out, she does her work every single night, no matter what team we’re facing. I’m telling you, Barbie’s Rookie of the Year, for sure.’
