Adele’s Subtle Response to Those Skepta Dating Rumors

Adele, 32, has been sparking romance rumors for a while!

A source tells People, she’s dating rapper Skepta, 38, revealing “things have been heating up.”

The insider added, “They run in the same circles in London, and she’s having fun.” The pair reportedly bonded over music, parenting, and hailing from the same London neighborhood, Tottenham.

On Wednesday, Adele seemingly commented on the dating rumors by calling herself “single.” She wrote on Instagram, “Good luck with the election America I love you so much. Look after each other and go easy on yourselves. Happy Halloween! I’m going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out til next year ♥️.”

She also commented on her recent “Saturday Night Live” episode, writing, “Had the best time on SNL! Thank you to the most wonderful cast, crew, writers and producers. What a sublime bunch of people you are. Lorne thank you for believing in me! Lindsay my sister for life, Maya my comedy and Mama hero! Plus the so up for it audiences at both the dress rehearsal and live show! I did it for the joy of it and I hope you got some from it too!”

Adele and Skepta aka Joseph Junior Adenuga had everyone talking back in June when Adele posted a pic of herself watching her own performance at the 2016 Glastonbury Music Festival at home. She also shared a photo of herself wearing the same dress from that concert.

In response to the photo, rapper Skepta quipped, “Finally got your Instagram password lol.”

Adele replied with two flirty emojis.

That’s not all! Referencing her September 2019 split with husband Simon Konecki, a source told The Sun UK, “Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up. They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection. They’re spending more and more time together. Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day.”

“They are both private about their love lives and they are both committed to their children first and foremost as well,” the insider emphasized.

In 2016, Skepta opened up on their friendship to the Evening Standard, saying, “Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going. She’s one of the people I know that, from her [example] alone, you can move in a certain way where you’re not inviting fame. She’s the biggest artist in the world, bro.”

That same year, Adele posted a photo of Skepta on Twitter, writing, “Tottenham Boy” with a heart emoji. Of the tweet, Skepta said, “She gassed me up. One day I was just chilling and she [tweeted] a picture that said ‘Tottenham boy’ and she’s from Tottenham as well. I was actually going to quit music that day, that was one of the sickest things ever. She’s like the lady of Tottenham.”

Skepta has a 2-year-old daughter, River, from a previous relationship. He was last linked to model Naomi Campbell.

Adele has an 8-year-old son, Angelo, with ex-husband Simon.
