Gymnastics Legend Sends Strong Three-Word Message to Simone Biles
Former gold medalist Dominique Moceanu was a big fan of Biles at the Paris Olympics.
Dominique Moceanu is sharing love for Simone Biles after the 27-year-old finished a historic run at the Paris Olympics.
Biles added three more gold medals to her trophy shelf during the Summer Games, leading Team USA to gold in the team competition and taking the top prize for the all-around and vault. Biles added a silver in the floor exercise to become one of the most decorated Olympians of all time with 11 total medals including seven gold.
Moceanu, who at age 14 helped lead the team dubbed the “Magnificent Seven” to gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, took to social media to share her appreciation of Biles’ accomplishment.
After People magazine shared a short video of Biles describing her time at the Paris Olympics with a caption that read “We [love] #SimoneBiles,” Moceanu shared a succinct reply.
“Yes we do!” Moceanu wrote, adding a heart.
Moceanu has been one of Biles’ biggest fans, sharing her appreciation throughout the Paris Olympics. When Biles revealed that her nickname for this year’s team is the “Golden Girls,” Moceanu spoke out to say she found it fitting.
“The ‘Golden Girls’ is a perfect name!” Moceanu replied to Biles on X. “It beautifully captures both the team’s seasoned excellence & glittering achievements. The journey of this team continues to inspire & shine bright!”
