Caitlin Clark’s historic performance on Saturday afternoon was met with an overwhelming outpouring of support from prominent figures around the basketball world.

Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double — notching 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in an upset victory of the league-best New York Liberty.

Cynthia Cooper was one of the many WNBA legends to take notice. After the game, the two-time league MVP reposted several posts celebrating Clark’s historic achievement.

It’s clear Cooper is very supportive of Clark as she continues to shatter WNBA records left and right.

This support likely means a ton to Clark. Before the 2024 WNBA Draft, the No. 1 overall pick listed Cooper on her all-time WNBA Mount Rushmore alongside Maya Moore, Lisa Leslie and Diana Taurasi.

Clark and the Fever will look to carry this positive momentum into Wednesday’s matchup against the Washington Mystics.
