Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid gave his take on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship made headlines last NFL season. Some believed it was a distraction for Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, although it appeared otherwise as the team hoisted their second consecutive Lombardi Trophy.

Andy Reid appeared on the “Scoop City podcast and was asked about Kelce and Swift’s relationship. The longtime NFL head coach believes that their relationship has flourished because they can take a step out of the spotlight at times.

“He can handle it. I think there’s a great escape for him,” Reid said.

Reid added that when Taylor Swift attends games, she can enjoy being a fan, and Kelce can do the same when he attends concerts.

“I said that about Taylor too. I mean, she comes to the game, she can kind of escape having to be the show. And when he goes to her concerts, she’s the star and he can be hanging out there and be the support or the waterboy,” Reid added.

While Swift supported Travis Kelce during the 2023 NFL season, the tight end has done the same while traveling through Europe during her current leg of “The Eras” tour.

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes took a three-week tour around Europe. One of their excursions took them to Amsterdam, where they were spotted at a Taylor Swift concert. The duo was in the same suite as Kelce, dancing and singing to some of Swift’s popular songs.

Earlier this week, Brittany shared snapshots of their trip’s London and Amsterdam stops. Among the photos shared in the Instagram post was one of herself, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift all dressed up for a night out.

“London & Amsterdam, a time was had.”

In one photo, the Grammy-winning singer hugged Brittany as both smiled for the camera. Brittany captioned the post, saying, ‘a time was had’ during that stop of their family vacation.
