Angel Reese delivered another spectacular performance on Friday night against the Seattle Storm. The Chicago Sky went up against the Storm at their home in the Climate Pledge Arena and walked out as 88-84 winners in a close contest.

Reese was definitely the star of the night for the Chicago fans as she posted yet another double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds. She has now had 12 straight double-doubles, extending her record for the longest double-double run during a single season in WNBA history.

She also ties WNBA icon Candace Parker for the most consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history. Parker’s streak of 12 stretched two seasons from 2009 to 2010.

‘Chi Barbie’ scored 27 points, collected 10 rebounds, and dished out two assists to help her team secure victory. She shot 8 of 13 from the field and 2 of 2 from the three-point line. She made 9 of her 10 free throws, which were a crucial factor in Sky winning the game.

Reese’s teammate Chennedy Carter delivered an exceptional performance, scoring a team-high 33 points, with four rebounds, and three assists. The rest of the Sky players were stuck below ten points and mainly played a supporting role to the hot hands for the night.

As for the Seattle Storm, all of their starters played well as they all finished in double-digits. Jordan Horston led the charts with 20 points and six rebounds on the night.

Angel Reese is having an amazing week. First, she broke the single-season double-double record of Candace Parker and then BET Awards named her as the winner of their prestigious Sportswoman of the Year award. She was in contention for the award with amazing athletes like A’ja Wilson, Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, JuJu Watkins and more.

To make her her week more special, Angel Reese was named to the WNBA All-Star team, a feat that she wanted to achieve since she became a basketball player.

The Chicago Sky rookie star even got emotional during an interview when talking about her All-Star selection. She expressed her gratefulness for making the All-Staer and thanked her coaches and teammates for putting their faith in her.
