Exactly halfway through the 2024 WNBA season, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are 8-12 on the year and eighth in the playoff race.

If the season ended today, they would face the New York Liberty in the first round of the playoffs.

Considering the resounding success of Reese and teammate Chennedy Carter, many fans believe the Sky should possess a better record at this point. That isn’t the case, and some fans are blaming this on first-year head coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

Yet, Reese made it extremely clear on Monday how she feels about any criticism directed at her head coach.

“one thing I don’t play about is T-Spoon so let’s not even try it. that’s one thing i don’t tolerate like at all,” Reese wrote on X Monday.

And fans are loving the way Reese came to her coach’s defense.

“Get em Angel..losers talking about her and Kamilla..they’re not real Sky fans,” one fan wrote.

“That part. And she don’t play about you!” added another.

A third wrote, “And we gon stand beside her too!!!”

Reese is clearly standing on business when it comes to Weatherspoon.
