WNBA rookie Angel Reese took inspiration from a fan as she posted a photo of herself in a denim outfit. A fan left a comment on one of her Instagram posts about her ability to get double-doubles but not being anyone’s rebound. Reese loved the comment, using it as a caption on her next social media post.

Although the Chicago Sky lost 84-71 to the Seattle Storm on Sunday, Reese had a great game as she had another double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. The team is looking to bounce back against the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday.

On Instagram, she posted three photos of herself in an interesting outfit. One fan complimented her double-double skills. Reese showed her appreciation for the comment with her reply.

In her most recent post on social media, she used the comment left by her fan.

“I loveeee me a double double but i’ve never been a rebound,” Reese posted.

Reese has done an amazing job for the Sky. She has led the team in rebounding, as Chicago’s only player averaging double digits in that category. She’s averaging 14.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in her rookie season. What’s even more impressive is she’s one of two rookies to be named an All-Star.

Angel Reese made history with her double-doubles

The Sky have a lot to like about Angel Reese. The rookie forward has made waves as one of the league’s best players and has a case for winning the WNBA Rookie of the Year. Thanks to her ability to rebound and score at a high rate, Reese made history against the Storm.

Reese has set a record for most consecutive double-doubles. The record was held by recently retired star Candace Parker, who had 12. When she set the record, she was 29 years old and was already an eight-year veteran.

However, Reese accomplished the feat in fewer seasons and games played. After the game, she still had huge praise for Parker and how she inspired her to play better.

“I try to take some things from her game and add them to mine,” Reese said. “Just being able to be named with an amazing player like that is just always going to be special to me.”

Reese has only started her pro career and will likely record more double-doubles.
