Angel Reese knows exactly what she’ll be doing on Sunday evening.

Unlike the vast majority of basketball fans swept up in an instant-classic WNBA Finals, though, the Chicago Sky star apparently has no rooting interest for the New York Liberty or Minnesota Lynx.

After the Lynx hung on to beat the Liberty 82-80 on Friday night to force Sunday’s winner-take-all Game 5, Reese had a request for her legion of followers on social media: a mashup jersey of Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier and Liberty counterpart Breanna Stewart, who finished second and third in MVP voting this season behind unanimous winner A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.

The do-everything forwards were college teammates with the undefeated national-champion Connecticut Huskies in 2015-16, when Collier was a freshman and Stewart was playing her final season in Storrs, Conn.

They also won gold medals together playing for Team USA at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.

After an epic first four games of the WNBA Finals, it’s easy to see why Reese can’t bring herself to root against the Lynx or Liberty.

She still hasn’t been hooked up with that Collier-Stewart jersey mashup, though.

Surely one of Reese’s 656,000 followers on X can help her out by tipoff of Game 5, right?

Collier, Stewart, Minnesota and New York play for the championship at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on Sunday at Barclays Center.
