Rachael Gunn, known by her stage name RayGun, continues to receive backlash amid her terrible performance at the Paris Olympics.
The fallout from Rachael Gunn’s headline-making performance at the Paris Olympics has gone to the next level as new information has come out exposing Raygun for allegedly manipulating the Olympic qualifier by setting up her own governing body.
Raygun is also being accused of denying grants to other performers while allowing her husband to coach the national team.
In response, a petition has been set up by Australians who are demanding an investigation and apology.
“Rachel Gunn, who set up her own governing body for breakdancing, has manipulated the selection process to her own advantage,” the petition states. “Despite the clear talent and qualification of other outstanding female breakdancers like G Clef and Holy Molly, they were unfairly overlooked. The NT Youlong Boys, a group of incredibly talented and underprivileged youth from the Northern Territory, were denied crucial funding by Dr. Gunn to attend the qualifiers—a decision that directly impacted their chance to showcase their skills on a national stage.”
“Disturbingly, Dr. Gunn went on to win her own qualifier, defeating other phenomenal breakdancers, raising serious questions about the fairness and integrity of the process. If Dr. Gunn’s husband is indeed the Australian coach and part of the selection panel, this represents a blatant conflict of interest that cannot go unchecked.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, the petition has over 30,000 signatures, with the goal being 35,000.
Footage has since surfaced showing other qualifiers putting their heart and soul into their craft only to be cheated out of this grand opportunity.
Raygun’s performance during the Olympics caught the attention of many as many argued the 36-year-old’s performance didn’t represent breakdancing, which was making its debut in the Paris Olympics.
Now, the sport will not return for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
Raygun’s moves certainly took away from the other participants, especially those who won Gold, silver, and bronze in the event.

After going viral for her performance at the 2024 Olympics, Australian breakdancer Raygun is now being mocked on late-night television thanks to Rachel Dratch’s hilarious impression of her on The Tonight Show.
During his monologue, host Jimmy Fallon simply mentioned breakdancing making its Olympic debut at the Paris Games when the live audience began laughing.
Rachel Dratch, the “Saturday Night Live” alum, took to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with a dance parody of Raygun’s breakdancing performance.
