Bethenny Frankel fired back at Ed Kelce after he chastised her for discussing his son Travis Kelce’s connection with Taylor Swift. On Tuesday’s edition of her Just B podcast, the Real Housewives of New York City star acknowledged that, while she can “understand and admire a parent coming to their child’s defense,” she wishes he’d chosen a different route instead of publicly criticizing her.
“I wish he had stated a viewpoint rather than simply a verbal abuse. “As we teach our children, it is better to express ourselves than to criticize,” she stated. The RHONY alum went on to say that she never criticized the relationship, but rather provided insights about Swift and Kelce’s chemistry based on her own previous experiences.
“I was saying that in most relationships, there is only one peacock, and I dated a man like that. That was extremely over the top and very, you know, loud and boisterous and like wanting to be the center of attention,” Frankel remembered, saying that she still stands by her view of the NFL star and that “that’s who Travis is.”
She continued by adding that, despite being a “mama bear” herself, Ed Kelce may have crossed a limit. “Calling me a troll, which, of course is amazing clickbait and yay for Travis Kelce’s dad,” she blurted out.
