Since the WNBA’s return from the Olympic break, the Indiana Fever have been one of the hottest teams in the league. After starting the season 1-8, Indiana fought hard to get to 11-15 by the All-Star game. Since then, the Fever are 8-2 and secured their spot in the playoffs way earlier than anticipated.

A lot of this has to do with the play of rookie point guard Caitlin Clark. Over the last few weeks, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star has been one of the best players in the league, and the WNBA honored that by giving her Player of the Month honors for August.

But on Tuesday, the league announced that Clark won her third straight Player of the Week award.

Clark won the award for her play in the Fever’s last three games, going 2-1 in that timespan and averaging 25.0 points, 10.0 assists and 7.7 rebounds. She also picked up her second triple-double of the season against the Los Angeles Sparks.

After news broke of her latest award, WNBA fans seemed to think that Clark was destined to make All-WNBA, with some saying she should be on the first team. Others even went as far as dubbing her the league MVP.

“ROTY, All WNBA first team, Top 3 MVP,” one fan said.

“ROTY and 1st team All-W are unequivocally locked up now.”

“Nearly averaging a TRIPLE DOUBLE. ROTY in the bag, obvi! But now she needs 1st team honors and MVP votes too, man!”

“1st Team All-WNBA”

“All-WNBA First Team.”

“Clearly first team ALL WNBA. Clearly an MVP candidate. Dude it must suck to be a Clark hater”

Clark has certainly made a case for All-WNBA first team over the last month. But MVP might be a stretch, especially with the way A’ja Wilson has been playing for the Las Vegas Aces, who come to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the Fever’s next game on Wednesday, September 11, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
