Victor Wembanyama really had nothing to do with Britney Spears getting slapped as he didn’t even see what happened, but his reputation is probably going to take a hit for it.

The Frenchman isn’t off to the greatest start since being drafted as the first-overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft as fans have already started comparing him to Darko Milicic due to missed jumpers. Now, he appears to have been outed as someone who isn’t all that keen on telling the truth as footage of the singer getting slapped has surfaced online.

TMZ has obtained a video of the incident that supports Britney’s version of events.

The new San Antonio Spurs player said Britney “grabbed” him from the back during an interview with a reporter late on Thursday, but that clearly does not happen in the clip shown below.

Britney claims she simply tapped him on the shoulder to ask for a photo and that’s what we see here. Check it out for yourself.

To be fair, the slap does not look intentional as the security team member is trying to push her hand away but he’s a bit too aggressive and either slaps her in the face or hits her hand, causing it to hit her face. Either way, her glasses flew off, but she does not fall to the ground as she said.

So yeah, both of them stretched the truth.

Police have since revealed they won’t be charging anyone as the strike did not appear to be intentional.
