Oh, by the way, you know how we were talking about people being horrible online a minute ago?
We have to discuss Meghan and Harry’s latest initiative. Have you seen it? It’s called The Parents Network. They’re doing it through Archwell, which is the charity that doesn’t really do much. This is one of their first major initiatives, and it’s aimed at tackling child safety online.
It’s called The Parents Network, and it offers various tips, advice, and tools to parents on how to navigate online and social media to protect their children. They have guides for Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and other platforms. They also feature case studies and stories of parents who have been terribly affected by online harms, such as their children developing eating disorders, being radicalized, or even suicide.
So, you have to give them credit for the cause itself. It’s a really good cause. They gave an interview last Sunday, I think on CBS’s morning show. The problem is, Meghan and Harry are completely the wrong people to be leading this cause. Meghan herself has been accused of horrific bullying. Didn’t she bully her own family members? She even froze out her father when he was on his deathbed.
Prince Harry could easily be accused of bullying his brother by revealing intimate details about him in his book. They are the worst people to front this campaign. When Meghan talked about her own struggles with depression and potential suicide, it seemed like she was making it all about her, which some people say takes away from the focus on parents who have actually lost children. It could have been better if she had said, “I don’t want to talk about this because it’s not about me,” but with Meghan, it’s always about her and Harry.
So, while the cause is worthy, I think they are completely the wrong people to lead it. I wonder why they are fronting this campaign.
They mentioned they are worried about their son Archie going down a rabbit hole online. The only rabbit hole Archie might go down is seeing photos of his family, which is something he’s probably not mad about.
Also, let’s talk about the Sussex Squad, Meghan’s online fans, who are some of the most vile people you could encounter. It’s quite hypocritical for them to be talking about online hatred and online safety when their own fans are so dreadful.
Now, they’re also preparing for another royal tour, but this time it’s a non-royal tour, a worldwide privacy tour. Apparently, they are going to Colombia, visiting places like Bogotá and Cartagena, and some impoverished areas. I’m not sure if Meghan will wear her £13,000 Cartier necklace while visiting those areas.
Colombia is one of the most crime-ridden countries in the world. Harry is suing the British establishment over security fears for himself and his wife, yet they are visiting Nigeria and Colombia, two of the most dangerous places in the world. A touch of hypocrisy, don’t you think?
It seems like they will go anywhere for a private jet and a bit of adventure. There’s a bit of hypocrisy on two counts for the Sussexes this week.
