Britney Spears‘ estranged younger sister is swapping Hollywood for the horrors of the Australian wilderness after signing up for the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Jamie Lynn Spears is believed to be featuring as a contestant on the long-running ITV show – filmed in rural New South Wales – when it returns with its 23rd series on November 19.

And bosses will be hoping the 32-year old mother-of-two will reveal previously unheard details about her fractious relationship with Britney, The Mirror reports.

The pop icon’s misgivings towards her younger sister were laid bare in recent autobiography The Woman In Me, in which she claimed Jamie Lynn had refused her plea for help after Britney was admitted to a residential treatment facility, purportedly against her will.

Jamie Lynn has expressed her own issues with the singer in 2022 warts-and-all memoir Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out.

A source said: ‘Jamie Lynn has got decades of history and bad blood with Britney to rake over and has laid out her feelings pretty clearly in her own book.

‘It will be interesting to hear her spill the beans about her life and her family and the controversial conservatorship – and to find out whether the sisters really do get along now – or not.’

Britney has gone back and forth between seemingly despising her sister and sharing her love for her publicly in recent months.

Although she initially blasted every member of her family in the final days of her conservatorship and the immediate aftermath of its dissolution, she has occasionally reached out with public olive branches on social media.

Earlier this summer, Britney shocked her fans when she claimed to have visited Jamie Lynn on the set of her series revival movie Zoey 102, even though the movie appeared to have done much of its filming on the East Coast.

In September, TMZ reported that the songwriter was ‘fully supportive’ of her sister joining Dancing With The Stars, even though several of Britney’s fans blasted Jamie Lynn for joining the competitive show, as they thought she was merely riding on her older sister’s coattails.

Britney was given advance notice about her sister joining the show, and she not only ‘took it well’ but was reportedly ‘excited’ about the development.

However, Jamie Lynn only made it two week two before she was voted off the show. It’s unclear if Britney’s fans, some of whom had pledged to try to vote her off, played a decisive role in the move, but she had received fairly strong scores from the judging panel.

It’s unclear if Britney’s thaw with Jamie Lynn will las, and her other attempt to reconcile with her mother Lynne appears to have failed.

Although her mother was seen visiting Britney earlier this year, shortly before her split from husband Sam Asghari, the two are reportedly estranged once again.

She reportedly added that she felt ‘betrayed’ by how the rising actress — who would star on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 three years later — had ‘changed’ while she was away from home.

The Toxic singer also delved into Jamie Lynn’s decision to write her own memoir, Things I Should Have Said, which was published in January 2022.

According to the source, she saved some vitriol for the Zoey 102 star for the publication of her book, though it’s unclear if it was due to Jamie Lynn’s claims about her older sister, or because she tried to beat her to market with a tell-all book of her own.
