Britney Spears has officially completed her divorce proceedings with Sam Asghari, ending their marriage after nine months of rumored strain on their relationship.

According to court documents, Britney Spears will retain her jewelry and other personal items, along with the money she earned before, during, and after the marriage. Additional assets will be divided according to their prenuptial agreement. Spears and fitness trainer Sam Asghari began dating in 2016 after Asghari appeared in Spears’ music video for “Slumber Party.” They tied the knot in June 2022. However, just 14 months later, Asghari filed for divorce, revealing that they had been separated since late July 2023. He suspected his wife of deceiving him, leading to frequent arguments between the two.

It’s speculated that the fitness trainer seeks a larger settlement from his wife than the previous agreement to keep her secrets after their split. Meanwhile, Britney Spears denies betraying her husband and reveals that they have decided to go their separate ways due to a lack of common ground over an extended period.
