Reese was selected to play in the WNBA All-Star Game this weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.

The league had a special event for All-Star players as Caitlin Clark and A’Ja Wilson were among those to dress up for the orange carpet outing.

However, Reese was a state away in Nevada and decided to attend an NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas.

She was seen courtside at a Thursday night game and was even shown on TV.

A fan on X slammed Reese for not going to the WNBA event, writing, “Angel just pissed me off. your first all star event as a rookie and you still in vegas at f*****g summer league game?????? good f*****g night man.”

Reese replied back, “It’s ok babe. i’m minding the business that PAYS me.”

It’s not known if she has been getting paid for attending the NBA’s offseason competition for young players.

Earlier in the week, the 22-year-old Reese attended a Los Angeles Lakers Summer League game alongside Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and his girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick, who’s also a WNBA player.

Clark, Wilson, and numerous other WNBA stars appeared on the orange carpet two days before the WNBA All-Star team plays against Team USA on Saturday.

Reese, meanwhile, didn’t hide that she planned to be in Las Vegas.

She revealed two selfies from Thursday’s game on Instagram, one by herself and one with a friend as the duo attended the Houston Rockets-Minnesota Timberwolves game.

The TV cameras also displayed Reese as the ex-LSU star was shown while the announcer promoted Saturday night’s All-Star matchup and Friday’s 3-point Contest and the Skills Challenge.

It’s not known when Reese will go to Arizona.

The rookie earned her ticket to play in the game after averaging 13.5 points and 12.9 rebounds per game in the first half of the season.

Reese recorded 17 double-doubles in the Sky‘s first 24 games.

She posted a record 15 double-doubles in a row before the streak ended versus the New York Liberty last Saturday.

Clark believes that Reese will show her rebounding skills on Saturday night.

“She’s certainly probably going to lead the game in rebounds,” Clark said about Reese on Thursday night.

“I expect that out of her, that’s just what she does.”
