Imane Khelif is stepping into her feminine era.
The Algerian boxer and Olympic champion has been the subject of transgender claims ever since her stunning performances at the Paris Games.
Khelif defeated world champion Yang Liu in a unanimous decision last Friday after facing weeks of online abuse concerning her gender.
The 25-year-old drew incredible reactions of anger after Italian boxer Angela Carini withdrew 46 seconds into their bout and refused to shake the Algerian’s hand.
“I felt a severe pain in my nose, and with the maturity of a boxer, I said ‘enough’ because I didn’t want to. I didn’t want to. I couldn’t finish the match,” Carini later told reporters.
It would soon be revealed that Imane Khelif and Yu-ting had been disqualified from competing with women at a global event last year but were cleared by the IOC to compete in the women’s 66-kilogram and women’s 57-kilogram matches at the Paris Games.
Both were disqualified from the 2023 World Championships after a sex chromosome test ruled both of them ineligible.
Despite the backlash, Imane Khelif went on to win a gold medal and be celebrated by her country.
In response to her many critics, Khelif is now showing off how she looks by going through a complete transformation.
A new video surfaced this week of Khelif rocking her hair blown out and wearing makeup to showcase her beauty and femininity.
Olympic Boxing Gold Medalist Imane Khelif Fires Back At Donald Trump and Elon Musk
Imane Khelif won the gold medal and then decided to fire back at her critics.
The Algerian welterweight singled out former US president Trump, who misgendered her and incorrectly claimed she had “transitioned from a man” to compete.
“There was a lot of noise from politicians, athletes, stars, artists, Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and that hurt me a lot, I cannot describe how scared I was,” she told Algerian news channel El Bilad.
“This affected me. I’m not lying to you, it affected me a lot. It hurt a lot. I can’t describe the fear I had, but I was able to overcome it. All the people of Algeria and the Arab world knew Imane Khelif with her femininity, her courage, her will.”
She went on to state, “I don’t like to get into politics in sports, but they got politics into sport. Sports and politics are two separate things.
“These politician oppressing me, they don’t have the right to say I am transgender.”
Khelif filed a lawsuit over “acts of aggravated cyber harassment”, explicitly naming Rowling and Musk after they targeted her in transphobic posts.
“JK Rowling and Elon Musk are named in the lawsuit, among others,” Parisian lawyer Nabil Boudi, who is representing Khelif, told Variety. “Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution.”
