Signed a landmark deal with Nike ahead of the WNBA season
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark recently showcased her new Nike Kobe 5 Protro Player Exclusive (PE) during practice. Clark, who signed a landmark deal with Nike ahead of the WNBA season, has been sporting various models from the Kobe line. Her latest footwear includes the Nike Kobe 5, as well as the “WNBA All-Star” Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE.
In her latest appearance, Clark debuted a unique black and gold Kobe 5 PE, which reflects a blend of her Iowa Hawkeyes roots and the colors of her current team, the Indiana Fever.

“It’s pretty cool,” she said.
This special edition sneaker highlights her transition from a standout collegiate player to a professional athlete in the WNBA.
“It’s the black and yellow, you can’t go wrong. Just the best colors,” she added. “I didn’t design these ones. I just said, ‘Yes, I love them. Please give them to me.'”
Hinted at new release
Clark also hinted at the release of another Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE, which will have more elements reflecting the Indiana Fever’s branding. However, these exclusive sneakers are unlikely to be available for public purchase, as they are custom-made for Clark.
“I have another one that you’ll probably see me wear later on that is even more Fever, so just wait for that one,” she noted.
