The Indiana Fever were recently in Las Vegas going up against the back-to-back defending champion Aces for the second time this season. Las Vegas picked up the 88-69 victory on Tuesday, sending the Fever home with a loss to end their five-game road trip.
During the game, Iowa Hawkeyes head coach Jan Jensen and former head coach Lisa Bluder were spotted courtside to watch their former Hawkeyes stars, Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin, play.
Martin got the best of Clark in terms of the victory, but she also went scoreless in 11 minutes of game action. Clark posted 13 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds.
Jensen and Bluder were the main pilots of Clark and Martin’s development on the hardwood. Martin left Iowa as a four-time team captain, and Clark secured the NCAA’s all-time scoring record, producing 3,951 points through her four years in Iowa City.
Both coaches were sitting together at the game, watching Clark and Martin duel on the professional stage courtside.
Clark and Martin have been vocal about their tight bond, which was evident since the beginning of their time with the Hawkeyes. Martin was at Iowa from 2019-2024, while Clark arrived in 2020 and declared for the 2024 draft.
