Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin were recently pictured in Las Vegas together at the Westgate Resort & Casino. The Indiana Fever are in town for a Tuesday night matchup against the Aces at 9:30 p.m. ET, gearing up for round two between Martin and Clark, former teammates with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The photo, posted by former Hawkeyes head coach Lisa Bluder, also features former Iowa assistant coach Jenni Fitzgerald, Westgate president Cami Christensen, Aces forward Megan Gustafson, and Bluder herself.
While the matchup in Vegas features some elite talent like A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum, all eyes are on the rematch of Clark and Martin.
The rookies have been vocal about their tight bond after spending years together chasing a National Title with the Hawkeyes. While they were unsuccessful in hoisting the title trophy, Martin left Iowa City as a four-time captain for the Hawkeyes, and Clark walked away as the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, punching in 3,951 points in 139 games.
Las Vegas heads into the Tuesday night matchup as one of the hottest teams in the WNBA, currently riding a four-game win streak. Indiana just secured its first win against a team above .500 on Sunday against the Phoenix Mercury, so it should be a big-time bout with a couple of familiar faces.
Clark and Martin have once before in their WNBA careers, with the Aces beating the Fever 99-80 on May 25. Martin actually outscored Clark in that meeting, accounting for 12 points and 7 rebounds, while Clark recorded 8 points and 5 rebounds but also added 7 assists.

The Westgate Resort was established in 1969, known as the Las Vegas Hilton, years before Westgate purchased the property in 2014. Christensen and the company have since managed the property while she serves as the president and general manager.
