Jason Whitlock, the former sports pundit turned conservative talk show host, believes he has devised the optimal plan for Caitlin Clark’s future.
In the recent college basketball scene, Caitlin Clark’s final appearance on the NCAA court garnered significant attention, marking the end of an impressive journey. However, Whitlock contends that this journey should not conclude just yet.
Caitlin Clark should return to Iowa next season, make about $20 million in NIL, retire from basketball, marry her boyfriend, and avoid the nastiness that awaits her in the WNBA. I'm not joking.

Taking to X platform this week, the former ESPN personality suggested that Caitlin Clark reconsider her decision to join the WNBA and instead return to the Iowa Hawkeyes for another season. He argues that by doing so, she could capitalize even further on the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, potentially earning millions. Furthermore, he suggests she should retire from basketball altogether and marry her current boyfriend to shield herself from the perceived challenges and criticisms awaiting her in the WNBA.
Whitlock’s strong stance stems from the criticism directed at Clark by some current and former WNBA players, along with the immense media scrutiny surrounding her remarkable achievements on the court.
