Caitlin Clark Responds to Gabbie Marshall’s Three-Word Message
Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark was recently named to the First Team All-WNBA alongside Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier and Alyssa Thomas.
Following the Fever’s announcement, which included posting a graphic of Clark with the caption “one of the best in the league,” one of the rookie’s former teammates with the Iowa Hawkeyes responded.
Clark’s former teammate, Gabbie Marshall, reposted the photo from the Fever while sending a kind note to Indiana’s young star.
Clark then responded to Marshall’s comment on her Instagram story, adding three teary-eyed emojis to her former teammate’s post.

Clark and Marshall played together from 2020 to 2024. They helped lead Iowa to back-to-back Final Four appearances in 2023 and 2024.
Marshall, who played with the Hawkeyes from 2019 to 2024, averaged 6.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game during her time there.
Clark went to Iowa a year after the arrival of Marshall. She served as the Hawkeyes’ leader for much of her collegiate tenure. The WNBA star averaged 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game during her four-year collegiate career.

While Marshall has since retired from basketball, Clark has wreaked havoc at the WNBA level. During her first year with the Fever, she was named to the WNBA All-Star team and won the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award.
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists during the 2024 season.
