Caitlin Clark Takes Clear Side In Dogs vs. Cats Debate

Late last week the Indiana Fever made the obvious decision to hire former head coach Stephanie White as the team’s new head coach, replacing Christie Sides.

Star Fever point guard Caitlin Clark admitted that playing against White’s teams made it more challenging than any other. She’s excited to have that kind of expertise on the floor.

“We know how much of a legend she is in Indiana,” Clark said Monday. “I think that’s really cool. Playing against her, I would say I felt like her teams always had the best scouts against us. I think that just speaks to her knowledge of the game and her way to analyze, and she clearly was on to something. Hopefully, in turn, now that she knows how to stop us, that should be a good way to know how to [help us] beat certain things as well.”

While the majority of the focus for Clark over the past few days has centered around the team’s coaching move, she did have some time to reconnect with former teammates in Iowa City.

She and a few other teammate including Kate Martin joined together for a podcast episode and the results have been fantastic. Clark already revealed she was “counting down the days” to see her former teammates.

During the podcast she made another revelation: she’s a dog person.

“The bad thing was the cats, I HATE cats,” she said during the episode. “And they were running around everywhere. Remember we were eating outside that one restaurant, I think it was a Mexican restaurant one of the nights and we went down the alleyway and there was a cat that was running under my feet and I was freaking out.”

Sorry, cats.
