Angel Reese attained her tenth straight double-double last Sunday, setting a new WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles in a single season, surpassing the record previously set by Candace Parker.

After the game, Chicago head coach Teresa Weatherspoon spoke about Reese’s mindset, sharing high praise for the former LSU Tiger.

“She’s the hardest person on herself. Proud of what she’s doing and will continue to do,” said Weatherspoon via Marquee Sky on X.

Reese and the Chicago Sky suffered a 70-62 home loss to the Minnesota Lynx. She ended the game with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Through the Sky’s 6-11 season, Reese is the only rookie averaging a double-double with 13.5 points and 11.1 rebounds.

Weatherspoon and Reese have both shared kind words for one another throughout the season. Reese has mentioned all year that she’s happy she was selected with the No. 7 pick to the Sky, getting the chance to play with a staff that fits her play style.

Reese has a strong mindset and is determined to win on the court. Weatherspoon’s comments about her being hard on herself are evident in her demeanor and effort to be the best.
