Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker wasted very little time sharing his take on the controversial opening ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The games have officially started, marking its official launch with a massive opening ceremony, which at one point featured a parody of “The Last Supper” with drag queens.

The official Olympics X/Twitter account noted that the bit was an “interpretation of the Greek God Dionysus makes us aware of the absurdity of violence between human beings.”

Butker, an outspoken and devout Catholic, posted a screenshot of the scene on Instagram, captioning it, “This is crazy.”

Harrison Butker Was Active On Another Platform Too

Butker also got on X/Twitter and posted a clip from the event.

“Be not deceived, God is not mocked,” he wrote as the caption. “For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:7-8.”

Butker’s tweet has been viewed nearly 4 million times and has attracted over 110K likes.

The Chiefs kicker was hardly the only one to lash out at the segment, with many viewers also expressing disgust.

Harrison Butker has been in the news frequently lately, primarily because of his commencement speech at Benedictine College. In it, he encouraged women to embrace their roles as homemakers while also trashing pride month.
