Christie Sides Sends Strong Message to Caitlin Clark After All-WNBA Announcement
Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark was recently named a First Team All-WNBA member, joining A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier and Alyssa Thomas on the top players list.
Following the WNBA’s announcement, Fever head coach Christie Sides posted a message about the rookie, congratulating her on the prestigious accomplishment.
“Congratulations Caitlin Clark!! 5th Rookie EVER to receive this honor…proud of you!” Sides said.
In a later video that the Fever posted, Sides shared high praise for the Indiana star.
“She’s in the company of some of the greatest players in this league,” Sides added.
Sides has been with the Fever since 2023. In her first year with the organization, Indiana held a 13-27 record. After the acquisition of Clark, selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, Sides and the Fever earned a 20-20 record.
In 2024, the team had its first 20-win season since 2015. They also reached the playoffs for the first time since 2016, but ultimately fell short, losing to the Connecticut Sun in the first round.
