That would take Lance’s 2024 earnings to $5.31 million, per The Dallas Morning News.

The roster bonus is due five days after training camp begins in July, according to the outlet.

Dallas reportedly didn’t consider cutting their third-string quarterback, 23, believing he registered significant progress after arriving from the San Francisco 49ers in a trade last year.

However, the report added, the Cowboys won’t pick up Lance’s fifth-year option, which would see him pocket $22.4 million in 2025.

The team has to make the decision until five days after the 2024 NFL Draft, taking place between April 25-27.

The Minnesota native is expected to compete for the role of Dak Prescott’s backup with Cooper Rush in training camp.

Dallas is set to spend $67.6 million on quarterbacks next season, per Spotrac.

Most of that money will go to Prescott, who’s owed $59.46 million in the last year of his four-year deal.

The Cowboys are yet to sign their starting QB to a new extension.

It’s uncertain whether they will start the negotiations before his current contract expires.

Running back Tony Pollard’s future is also unknown.

Dallas isn’t expected to franchise-tag Pollard, allowing him to hit free agency later this month.
