Dan Bongino was left dumbfounded by MSNBC’s Joy Reid, who he claims “humiliated herself” during a live broadcast on her own show. Bongino remarked, “I can’t stop laughing at how desperate and pathetic this is… This video is not a deep fake, I promise!”

Dan Bongino expressed his disbelief and amusement at MSNBC host Joy Reid’s reaction to billionaire businessman Elon Musk. Reid accused Musk of “misappropriating Black vernacular” after he jokingly referred to Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts as a “Karen.”

The situation began when Warren tweeted, “Let’s change the rigged tax code so [Musk] will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else.” Musk responded with, “You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry mom would randomly yell at everyone for no reason. Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen.”

According to the Washington Examiner, Joy Reid interpreted Elon Musk’s use of the term “Karen” as a racial dog whistle. Reid argued that referring to Senator Elizabeth Warren as a “Karen” is problematic because the term is allegedly considered exclusive to the Black community. On her live TV show, *The ReidOut*, Reid criticized Musk, saying, “For so many reasons, including being a freeloader, a selfish and disrespectful person, and for misappropriating Black vernacular for misogynistic purposes, Elon Musk is the absolute worst.”

In response, Dan Bongino expressed his disbelief, saying, “You know when you call someone ‘Karen’? Apparently, Joy Reid is claiming it’s an insult that the Black community uses for white women. This is Joy Reid, who says it’s Black vernacular. Comedian Dane Cook was using it for people who are nosy and get in your business as far back as 2006, but clueless Joy Reid doesn’t know that.”

“But let’s play along for a moment,” Bongino added. “So, Joy seems upset in this clip that an insult, which she’s admitting is used by Black people to call white people ‘Karen,’ is now being used by white people to call other white people ‘Karen.’ She’s actually mad that a term, which she claims is a racist insult, has been taken by white people to use among themselves. This is not a joke,” Bongino said, laughing. “She’s angry because she wants the insult to stay within the Black vernacular. And then people wonder why cancel culture is eating itself. It’s a cancer of stupidity.”

“Let’s be perfectly clear,” Bongino continued after playing the clip of Reid. “Elon Musk called Senator Warren a ‘Karen’ because she’s acting like a nosy troublemaker, and Joy Reid is upset because she’s saying it’s a racist insult that should only be used by the Black community to target white people. White people like Elon Musk shouldn’t use this term against other white people. I’m not saying it’s racist; it’s just ridiculous. And she’s upset because she wants this to be ‘our racist thing.’ You know, ‘Black vernacular.’ I can’t believe it!”

“So, if you’re a leftist watching this for the first time, wondering how Joy Reid has managed to train so effectively this year to win her Gold Medal in the media Olympics, well, here it is,” Bongino stated. “I can’t help it; I’m not sick, I just can’t stop laughing.”

It should also be noted that Elon Musk responded to Reid, tweeting: “(Lack of) Joy Reid is a lobbyist for Sen. Karen.” The Tesla CEO has faced repeated backlash and has often lashed out against Democratic senators who call on him to pay more taxes.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Reid’s remarks come in defense of Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has faced criticism for falsely claiming Native American heritage for decades—a point Reid has never condemned. Warren’s supposed ancestry even led her to be hailed as Harvard Law School’s “first woman of color.” The best Warren can claim is possibly being 1/64th Cherokee. Reid’s tendency to see racism everywhere can be seen as an insult to genuine victims and undermines the very people she purports to defend.
