It appears that another well-known NFL family is unwilling to pay for a suite at Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas. Less than a week after the mother of San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey stated that her family could not afford a “stupidly expensive” luxury suite at Allegiant Stadium, the game’s venue, Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, said something similar.

“Well, you can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multi-million dollars so I have a feeling I’m not in a box,” Kelce said Wednesday morning during an appearance on the TODAY show. “I have a feeling I am in the stands. As far as I know I am in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl.”

According to TickPick, ticket prices at Allegiant Stadium are the highest in history, with secondary market averages of roughly $9,619. Super Bowl 57 tickets cost an average of $5,795. Allegiant Stadium’s suites vary from $1.4 million to $2.5 million for an Owner’s Club Suite, which includes 20 suite tickets, two parking passes and a food and beverage package.

Lisa McCaffrey discussed the luxury suite costs on her “Your Mom” program with Ashley Adamson. In response, her son’s fiancée, Olivia Culpo, a model, actor, influencer, and former Miss Universe, announced on Instagram that she had secured a suite for Lisa McCaffrey’s birthday.

Christian McCaffrey was ultimately responsible for derailing that scheme. “She tried to, but I will not let anybody pay to watch me play,” Christian McCaffrey said Monday at Super Bowl 58 Opening Night, according to ExtraTV. “I had to nix that.”

Travis Kelce, of course, is dating pop icon Taylor Swift. It’s unknown whether Swift will attend the Super Bowl — she has a gig in Tokyo as part of the first leg of the 2024 Eras tour — but she has attended five Chiefs games this season, always from a premium suite.

Whether the Kelce family gets into a luxury room or not, Donna Kelce is looking forward to the event. “I really am, it is going to be a dream,” Donna Kelce said on the TODAY show when asked if she was excited to be attending the game. “To go back-to-back like this, back to the Super Bowl, I’m really excited.”
