Ed Kelce shut down a question about whether or not his son Travis Kelce would sign a prenup if he and girlfriend Taylor Swift got engaged.
The Kelce patriarch vaguely responded to the question posed by Audacy’s “92.3 The Fan” radio show hosts Baskin and Phelps, who implied the “Cruel Summer” singer’s billionaire status surpasses the Kansas City Chief tight end’s net worth.
“I think you get to a point. I don’t know that Taylor is out there trying to make money, trying to build this huge empire,” Ed explained during Friday’s episode.
“I think she’s out there following her passion, doing what she knows and what she enjoys. People are just throwing money at her, you know what I mean.”
Ed awkwardly moved on from the conversation as the hosts then pressed on him meeting the 12-time Grammy winner for the first time.
While Ed didn’t specify the date, he recalled being at Travis’ Kansas City, Mo., home ahead of a football game when Swift, 34, walked in — admitting he didn’t know who she was.
“When Travis has a lot of friends coming into town to the game, everyone meets at his house, although he’s not there because he’s with the team,” he explained, adding the NFL close pals take a shuttle from his home to Arrowhead Stadium.
“Taylor walks in with a security guy, and I look at her, and I say [to my girlfriend] ‘Oh my god, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is,’” Ed recalled.
“Jeez, you know, like a real idiot. And [my girlfriend] says, ‘You don’t know her? This is Taylor Swift, you idiot.’”
Ed furthered his family’s life has changed since Travis became a pop-culture phenomenon when he went public with Swift in September 2023.
“There’s eyes on you every place you go,” he added. “More people recognize us since he started dating Taylor. I’ll be [at] the grocery store, somebody will smile and say, ‘Hey!’ Come over and say [hi], and I have no idea who they are.”
While Swift has been photographed several times at Travis’ games alongside his mom, Donna Kelce, the hitmaker has occasionally been spotted chatting it up with Ed.
The first time Ed and Swift were seen together was at the Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos match in October 2023.
He later gushed over the “Karma” singer in an interview with People on Oct. 23, describing her as “a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman.”
Meanwhile, Donna and Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, also appear to be big fans of Swift as a possible engagement between her and the Chief star, 34, lingers.
Page Six previously reported that Travis plans to get down on one knee during their first anniversary in July.
