Last year, Ed Sheeran made a big surprise at a Florida high school when he had an expected visit to the school and generously gifted kids free performances, guitars, and concert tickets.

At first, Sheeran took the time to chat with the students, snap photos, and autograph memorabilia. And it gets even cooler. He teamed up with the students for a jam session on his hit “Photograph,” singing a duet with a talented female student while others played their acoustic guitars. Addressing the enthusiastic audience, Sheeran shared, “I thought I’d come and play some songs for you, and I’ve also brought some guitars to give to you guys for the music department.” and this got a big cheer from the students. Then came the biggest surprise Ed presented to the kids on that day: “I’m playing at a stadium tomorrow, and I’ve got tickets for all of you guys to come.”

Moreover, though the stadium show would be for 72,000 people to attend, Sheeran shared that he just wanted to host a “tiny concert right here” for the students.

The fact that Ed Sheeran is no stranger to popping up and jamming with fans, as seen when he unexpectedly joined a mall performer for a version of “Thinking Out Loud,” garnered a whopping 22 million views.
