After teenage sprinter Quincy Wilson got back to the United States following the Olympics, his very first post on TikTok was about him catching up to all the reading work he needed to do for school. Wilson is still in high school, and he’s not exempt from doing his necessary activities while on break.
When former American track and field star Justin Gatlin saw Wilson’s post, however, he only had one question for the youngster: “You rocking the medal on the first day of school?”
For those who missed it, Quincy Wilson was part of Team USA that won gold in the 4×400-meter relay. While he didn’t run in the final, he did participate in the qualifying round along with Vernon Norwood, Bryce Deadmon and Christopher Bailey
With the victory, the 16-year-old Wilson became the youngest male Olympic track and field athlete to win a gold medal in US history.

As Gatlin hinted, Wilson might want to consider wearing his gold medal when he comes back to school. Who knows, his teachers might cut him some slack after seeing that hardware he worked hard for.
