On Sunday, news broke that Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested in Tyler, Texas for a driving while intoxicated offense.
According to TMZ Sports, this is the “third time or more” where Mahomes Sr. was arrested for a DWI. Mahomes Sr.’s arrest comes just a week before Super Bowl 58 between Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

As the Texas Department of Transportation details, a third impaired driving offense carries a $10,000 fine, a prison sentence of 2-10 years and a loss of a driver’s license for up to two years.
