“I put two and two together when I was years old.”

When people learned why Will Smith’s children are named Jaden and Willow, they were “mind-blown.”

In addition to being one of the most recognizable faces in the world, Will Smith’s family has also achieved global fame.

The 1997 wedding between the Oscar-winning actor and Jada Pinkett Smith saw their union. But ever since that fateful Red Table Talk incident, their love has been well publicized.

Jada disclosed last year that the pair had been split up since 2016. Following Smith’s slap of Chris Rock at the Oscars for a joke the comic made about his wife, this information was disclosed.

Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23, are the couple’s two children together. Trey, 31, is the son that the I Am Legend actor has with Sheree Zampino.

Following his appearances in movies like The Pursuit of Happyness and After Earth with his father, Jaden has pursued a career as a rapper.

Willow, on the other hand, is most recognized for her musical career. Whip My Hair, Wait a Minute, and Meet Me At Our Spot are just a few of her great songs.

Even though the family is frequently in the news, it doesn’t seem like many people have ever asked why Jaden and Willow’s parents gave them their names.

However, some claim to have deciphered the significance of the names, and they are in disbelief.

On X, they postulated that the names are really skillful gender-swapped versions of their parents’ names.

As a result, Jaden is named after his mother Jada, while Willow is named after her father Will.

“Every now and then I remember that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith deliberately decided to give their kids gender-swapped versions of their own names (Willow and Jaden)” was one of the posts made on social media.

Did Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith name their children after themselves, e.g., Will = Willow and Jada = Jaden? asked a commenter.

“I just realized Will Smith & Jada named their kids their own names with a few extra letters,” a third person wrote in a comment. Willow & Jaiden… holy s**t.

One participant wrote, “I was today years old when I put 2 and 2 together about Will Smith’s kids’ names,” and said they were “mind blown.”
