Before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan Markle graced our screens in popular legal drama Suits, playing paralegal Rachel Zane.

and their on-screen romance culminates in a wedding by the end of season seven – mirroring Meghan’s own fairy-tale wedding to Harry as she bid farewell to the show.



Suits wrapped up in 2019 but saw a resurgence in viewership when Netflix picked it up in June 2023, with 45 billion minutes devoured by hungry viewers.

Meghan spoke to Variety in 2023 about the show’s enduring appeal, hinting its success was down to its bingeworthy nature.

She said : “It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew.

We had a really fun time. It’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”



The buzz around Suits has spiked again with the announcement of a spin-off series, sparking speculation about whether Meghan’s character will return for a guest appearance.

The new series will pivot around a fresh character, according to reports, focusing on Ted Black, an ex-federal prosecutor from New York, now carving out a new life as a rep for LA’s most influential clientele.

Rumoured to play the role is Arrow star Stephen Amell. Josh McDermitt of The Walking Dead fame is also expected to be a crucial cast member.



At this year’s Golden Globes, Patrick Adams – Meghan’s former co-star – hinted that he and Meghan might make a comeback. He spilled to Entertainment Tonight: “Sure. Mike and Rachel in Seattle. They gotta come down to LA. they gotta fix some stuff.”

He further added: “If we got the phone call, if I got the phone call, I’m ready to suit up again. I love the show, I love the character. And I loved working with all these people.”



Meghan previously shared her fondness for her old character during a chat with Oprah Winfrey, teasing “never say never”.
