There was a glimmer of hope for Caitlin Clark to make the cut but it wasn’t possible
The Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was actually a possibility for the United States to be included in Team USA that will compete in the Summer Olympics organized in Paris. Amid multiple injured players, there was suddenly the possibility to be part of the team. However, the rookie wasn’t selected and she now has a chance to rest up while her teammates represent the United States at the event. It’s safe to say that this won’t be the only time Caitlin Clark has a chance to represent her country in a Summer Olympics tournament. She is still young and just getting started as a professional basketball player. There is no question that based on the aure she has andthe potential to become a great WNBA star, Caitlin Clark willsurely get her chance to win Olympic Gold someday.

Caitlin Clark reacts to not making Team USA
In a recent conversation with IndyStar, Caitlin Clark explained being left out of the Summer Olympics for Team USA. She said: “I wouldn’t say I’m bummed. It gives you something to work for, I’m sure, and something to dream of, and in four years you can be there. Four years comes fast. That’s your time in college, and I feel like I was just a freshman in college. It shows you that you’ve got to start working now if you want that to be your dream in four years. That’s it for me – work hard and hopefully you can be there. I’m excited for the girls that are on the team. I’m excited for them, going to be rooting them on to win gold. I was a kid who grew up watching the Olympics and it’ll be fun watching.”
On her very first season at the WNBA, Caitlin Clark had a rough start that made her suffer against her peers. They were hitting and fouling her more than a rookie usually gets. But Clark has already learned by now that this is a sign of respect and she will learn from this experience. Despite the rough start, Caitlin is currently averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game. At the moment, the race to become Rookie of the Year is between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, who took their rivalry from college to the WNBA in the span of less than a year. It is only a matter of time before Clark represents her country at the Olympics.
