Ava Hunt, the youngest daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, required emergency surgery after suffering an injury during a hiking trip.

The 18-year-old sustained an injured leg after falling down a mountain and was rushed to the emergency room before she went under the knife, having suffered a “deep wound.”

“This little thang fell down the mountain today on a hike & went to the ER for surgery on a deep wound,” her mother, Tavia Hunt, posted to Instagram.

“It’s been a looong day. Praise God she’s in recovery and already smiling. Please pray for a quick and complete recovery,” she added.

Ava subsequently took to the platform to provide an update of her own, revealing she was home and doing well enough to watch Simone Biles perform at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

“Update: surgery went very smoothly and I’m back at home watching my favorite @simonebiles!! I’m feeling great (but I might still be a little drugged up) Thank you for all of your sweet messages and prayers,” she noted.

Ava Hunt Made A Huge Personal Announcement Earlier This Year

Ava, a high school graduate and a cheerleader, committed to SMU earlier this year.

“It’s official!! So beyond thankful for the opportunity to keep doing what I love! Pony up!!” she announced on Instagram in March.

The teenager will major in marketing.

Ava Hunt is one of three children Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has with his wife. Her older sister, Gracie Hunt, is more well-known, as she has been at the forefront of much that’s happened with the Chiefs.

It’s expected that Ava will take on a role with the team once she graduates from college.
