Hugh Jackman was seen while arriving at a New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday afternoon.
The 54-year-old performer joined Taylor Swift and his longtime friend, Ryan Reynolds, as they prepared to watch the hitmaker’s new love, Travis Kelce, with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The actor, who recently gave his fans a glimpse into his life as a bachelor, kept it casual in a black jacket and a near-matching t-shirt during the sporting event, which was also attended by Blake Lively and Sophie Turner.
Although he appeared to be making the most of his time at the football game, Jackman is currently navigating his separation from his estranged wife, Debora-Lee Furness.
The performer and the 67-year-old actress initially met in 1995 while working on the Australian television show Correlli.
The former couple went on to make their union official the following year during a wedding ceremony that took place in a suburb of Melbourne.
Jackman and Furness adopted a son and daughter named Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, in 2000 and 2005, respectively.
The two shocked many when they announced that they had officially split up this past September.
The performers issued a joint statement to People to confirm that they were planning on going their separate ways.
‘We have been blessed to share almost [three] decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,’ they said.
Jackman and Furness also expressed that their split was amicable and that they were primarily focused on the well-being of their children.
‘Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,’ they said.
The two ended by writing that ‘this is the sole statement either of us will make’ regarding the end of their marriage.
The performer previously made his debut as the Marvel Comics mainstay in the first X-Men movie, which was released in 2000.
The actor went on to reprise his role in several other X-Men movies, and he also starred as the superhero in the 2013 standalone feature The Wolverine.
The Tony Award winner’s most recent appearance as Wolverine was in 2017’s Logan, and he revealed that he intended to retire from the role prior to the movie’s release.
However, Jackman, who first met Reynolds in 2009 and subsequently started an ongoing and friendly feud with his friend in the mid-2010s, revealed that he had decided to play the character one more time last September.
The 46-year-old actor is also set to return to his longstanding role as the Marvel character in the upcoming movie, which will be directed by Shawn Levy, who was also present at the game.
Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand and Leslie Uggams are all set to reprise their parts as Vanessa, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Blind Al, respectively.
New cast members include Emma Corrin, who will portray a villainous character, and Matthew Macfayden.
The film’s production team also shocked many when it was revealed that Jennifer Garner would reprise her role as Elektra this past July.
Principal photography on the feature commenced this past May, with London serving as a primary filming location.
However, shooting was paused after the start of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in July.
Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled to be released on May 3, 2024.
