After facing a huge lawsuit from two of his students in his acting class, James Franco came forward to admit that he made a big mistake by sleeping with them.
Hollywood star James Franco’s talent is unquestionable. While Franco’s name was featured multiple times in the public divorce of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the more disturbing aspects of his personality came to the fore when he was accused of sleeping with his students from his acting school.
James Franco Admitted To Grave Error Of Judgment With Students
Being a celebrity is often associated with perfection and invincibility. Sometimes, reality hits hard to bring superstardom crashing down to earth. Hollywood star James Franco’s career has been a rollercoaster of this nature. Considered one of the most talented stars of his generation, the Good People actor has also been in the limelight for the wrong reasons over the years.
In 2014, Franco opened an acting school which turned out to be one of the most problematic decisions in his career owing to certain shocking incidents that occurred. The Yosemite star introduced a controversial course called S*x Scenes 101 which was aimed at aspiring actors attempting to develop a comfort level in front of the camera while performing intimate scenes.

Franco though, took a ‘hands-on’ approach to the course by actually sleeping with his students to teach the class. Following accusations by 4 students, the Spider-Man star was faced with a massive $2.2 million lawsuit from 2 of the students which he ultimately settled. In an interview with SiriusXM, Franco regretted his gross error of judgment and said,
“Over the course of my teaching, I did sleep with students, and that was wrong. There were certain instances where, you know what, I was in a consensual thing with a student and I shouldn’t have been.”
Going on to defend himself, the True Story star stated that he did not coerce any student to join the course at any point in time. He also elaborated that his intention was never to take advantage of anyone during the lessons.

Over the years James Franco has been on the wrong side of fame mainly due to the personal challenges that have plagued him throughout his career. Apart from admitting to alcohol and substance abuse, Franco also revealed that he was addicted to s*x for over 20 years.

A few years after his crippling lawsuit that saw him shell out millions to two of his students for sleeping with them during his acting course, the I am Michael star sat down for a no-holes-barred interview with SiriusXM to talk about the challenges of being a s*x addict.
“It’s such a powerful drug. got hooked on it for 20 more years. The insidious part of that is that I stayed sober from alcohol all that time. And I went to meetings all that time. I even tried to sponsor other people. So in my head, it was like, ‘Oh, I’m sober. I’m living a spiritual life.’ Where on the side, I’m acting out now in all these other ways, and I couldn’t see it.”
While the road to recovery has been arduous, Franco revealed that he had put in a lot of hard work to come out of his addiction, and wished to prove to the world that he was a person of good conduct and character.
